Luxury off-the-plan residences in high demand in Rose Bay

As reported by Cassandra Glover

Off-the-plan luxury residences are in high demand, with four Rose Bay apartments selling over two weeks.

Callista Rose Bay, located at 38-40 Newcastle Street, is a project being marketed by Ray White Projects agent Daniel Ungar in conjunction with Ray White Double Bay agent Di Wilson.

Due for completion in March 2024, six out of the eight luxury apartments have now been sold, which Ms Wilson said was “unheard of” in the current Rose Bay market.

“In a market where projects have been a slow grind, we have been working with multiple buyers over a number of weeks, resulting in four high-end luxury residences being sold in one week,” she said.

“All the buyers to date have been local residents looking for oversized residences that are in the heart of Rose Bay Village offering easy access to the harbour and Rose Bay Beach.

“We are now releasing the final two apartments to the market. A whole floor penthouse and a private, north facing, three-bedroom residence.”

Mr Ungar said he had seen an increase in demand for off-the-plan luxury apartments.

“We are seeing an uplift in enquiry for high-end off-the-plan luxury residences recently with buyers choosing to sell their larger homes and move into a spacious apartment where they can have easy access to a convenient location and lifestyle, whilst being able to easily lock and leave if they want to travel,” he said.
