The Centennial Collection: The ‘timeless’ Sydney apartments with park, city and harbour views

As reported by Kate Farrelly | Full story here

Bondi Junction is among Sydney’s most walkable suburbs. Scoring an impressive 93 on the rating scale, you can leave the car at home and make your way on foot to a whole host of amenities.

Residents of The Centennial Collection will have access to a rooftop pool with harbour views.

And with the launch of Stargate Property Group’s latest development, home can be in The Centennial Collection, a selection of 70 apartments with an enviable position footsteps from gorgeous Centennial Park.

Ray White Projects managing partner Eddie Mansour says not only will residents have access to 189 hectares of parkland, those in the top half of each of the two, 10-storey buildings will have incredible views.

“The view takes you all the way out to the airport and beyond,” he says. “You pick up all of Centennial Park, Paddington, the stadium, across into the city, down towards the harbour, across Double Bay and right back out to the furthest eastern point from there. So, you’ve got unbelievable views.”

The Centennial Collection is footsteps from Centennial Park.

The site, which has been 10 years in the planning, was the subject of Waverley Council’s first design excellence competition, with three top-tier architects submitting plans before SJB was awarded the project.

Mansour says Stargate and SJB have worked together to produce dwellings that match the calibre of some of the finest buildings in Sydney.

“They’ve got marble-wrapped kitchens, marble-wrapped bathrooms, veneer all through,” he says.

“Some of the larger apartments will have built-in wine cellars and wet bars and some will have fireplaces in the bedrooms. They’ve really paid a lot of attention to detail and they’ve literally given the architect and interior designer carte blanche to really create something memorable, and something that’s timeless.”

The two, 10-storey buildings will feature 70 apartments.

Buyers have the option to customise their apartments with extra appliances in the butler’s pantry, different window coverings or the installation of a home-automation system.

A concierge service will be available to residents alongside a delivery room with both cold and dry storage.

“The developers here really looked at what [they could] do differently to really accommodate the everyday living of a resident,” Mansour says.

“What that means is if you’ve got a Woolworths delivery, or you’ve got one of those pre-prepared meals coming in or a case of champagne at any time of the day, it can either go into a dry or a cold storage area for you to collect at your leisure.”

Residents will also have access to a heated indoor pool on the first-floor podium level and a rooftop pool and barbecue area with glorious harbour views. There will be multiple EV chargers and plenty of visitor parking, and each building will have two lifts with security access.

Stargate is currently working on the retail offerings that are likely to include a food outlet at street level.

Mansour says the project has already secured $70 million in sales, with local buyers leading the charge.

The Centennial Collection is a short walk from Woollahra village shops, Westfield Bondi Junction and the train station, from where the trip to Town Hall takes just 10 minutes. Bondi and Tamarama beaches and Double Bay Marina are 10 minutes’ drive away.

“If you’re really looking for a building that has the best interiors, the best views in the most convenient location, this is the building,” Mansour says.
