Sydney-based property finance and development company, Moshav Financial, has released the vision for its latest luxury residential project in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Located in coveted Vaucluse, the project will be known as ‘Hillside’ and is set to deliver once-in-a-lifetime harbour views from its collection of four extraordinary architecturally designed houses, with expansive entertainer’s terraces, and monumental ceiling heights. Each residence combines a grand scale and comfortable, private settings for contemporary living.
Designed by an elite team, including the legendary Italian Architect Luigi Rosselli; Interior Designer, Handelsmann+Khaw; and Landscape Designer, Dangar Barin Smith. All three of which are featured in this year’s VL50: Vogue Living’s Best Australian Architects and Designers of 2024.
The project’s two palatial freestanding six-bedroom homes, Terreno (Earth) and Mare (Sea), feature unique floorplans that prioritise open indoor-outdoor layouts to welcome an expanse of natural light and horizon-deep sightlines, stretching to the Harbour Bridge. The two semi- attached residences, Cielo (Sky) and Luce (Light), each boast four spacious bedrooms overlooking landscaped gardens and a full-width terrace that flaunts the postcard harbour views.
Every square inch of Hillside’s residences is built on a spectacular scale, Rosselli evokes an Italian sensibility etched onto the hillside of Sydney Harbour, with layered grandeur befitting the site’s palatial scale.
Inspired by his childhood memories of holidays in Italy, Rosselli has designed these enduring modern residences on a foundation of strength and beauty, with feature rammed earth columns and copper-clad roofing, alongside carefully crafted details such as handmade terracotta brise soleil (sun breakers) that offer a perfectly framed view of the Harbour Bridge.
Tal Silberman, Group Managing Director of Moshav Financial, confirmed that Hillside will feature the exemplary design and artisan craftsmanship that is a hallmark of the company’s premium Eastern Suburbs projects.
“These residences needed to be designed to reflect and showcase their exceptional location, and so we wanted a design that not only elevated the area, but truly maximised every potential view of Sydney Harbour,” Mr. Silberman explained.
“Our goal is to create an address of enduring stature, with residences that are architecturally significant, and which stand as trophy homes for generations to come.
“It’s not often you have the opportunity to develop a project of this magnitude, so we have also collaborated with partners that we know will deliver these residences to the standard this project deserves.”
In addition to Luigi Rosselli, Moshav Financial has appointed Lords Group as the project’s builder partner, after the two companies worked closely on ‘Aqualine’ Bondi Beach and ‘Verdical’ Bondi Junction, with the partnership building an enviable portfolio across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Meanwhile, Interior Designer Tania Handelsmann, from award-winning firm Handelsmann+Khaw, has been selected to deliver interiors that marry the contemporary with the timeless.
With a reputation that saw her firm named Belle Coco Republic Interior Designer of the Year in 2020, and one of Vogue Living’s Top 50 Designers in both 2023 and 2024, Ms. Handelsmann will bring together Hillside’s carefully crafted environments with materials that are warm and tactile, providing a timeless appeal in keeping with Hillside’s majestic scale.
“Every element at Hillside has been specified to the highest standards, with unique and meticulously crafted features, including sculptural marble benchtops and luxurious bespoke joinery,” said Ms. Handelsmann.
“We’ve sought to bring the project vision into every detail of the interior design, to create a polished yet accessible brand of heritage-informed elegance, with cleverly curated furnishings, surfaces and details adding further depth, charm and classic romanticism.”
According to selling agent Eddie Mansour, Managing Partner, Ray White Projects, the Hillside project offers a rare chance for discerning purchasers to secure a landmark house in one of the city’s most prestigious suburbs, located in a private pocket that overlooks the glittering city.
“Everything about Hillside is unrivalled, and this project will be ideal for those who seek the comforts of a resort lifestyle at home, and who appreciate the finer details of these houses both inside and out,” said Mr. Mansour.
“Hillside anchors itself in an area of premier cultural landmarks; you have Sydney Harbour to the West; Historical Vaucluse House and Watsons Bay to the North; and Sydney’s most revered natural landmark, Bondi Beach, just moments to the South.
“We anticipate we will receive strong interest from high-net-worth Australians, particularly global business owners and esteemed executives; demographics of who have already expressed an early interest. Our sales process will be handled with the utmost discretion to accommodate these potential purchasers, with more information only available to those who have registered interest for this rare landmark offering.”
Sales for Hillside have now launched and interested parties are encouraged to move quickly to register their interest, with only four purchasing opportunities available.
